Galaxy Watch: The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch may have a Classic variant

Samsung previously confirmed that it is a new universe smart watch this year. The tech giant recently confirmed that the One UI smartwatch interface was co-developed with Google. Since the new Galaxy smartwatch is expected to arrive later this year, leaks of renders and other images have started to appear online. Now, a report from XDA Developers claims that there could be three variants of the watch — most likely called the Galaxy Watch4 — rather than just one. These would be Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic (two different models).
According to the report, references to the second variant were obtained from the Thai certification authority NBTC’s website. There are a total of three galaxy watch 4 models listed with model numbers SM-R875F, SM-R885F and SM-R895F, the last two being the classic models. Based on this, the report claims that there are at least three Galaxy Watch 4 models in the pipeline. Samsung has not confirmed anything about this. All three are expected to ship with WCDMA/LTE support. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic model could have a slightly different design than the regular model, with a more traditional look.
Samsung introduced the OneUI Watch user experience at its event during the Mobile World Congress. The new interface is designed to make the Galaxy Watch and smartphone experience more connected. Samsung has also confirmed that One UI Watch will be available for Galaxy Watch on the new – Wear OS + Tizen OS – platform it built with Google. Samsung claimed it will bring performance improvements, a more seamless experience between the Watch and android smartphones and access to an even wider range of applications. The company added that the upcoming Galaxy Watch will be the first to feature the new unified platform and One UI Watch, which will debut at the Unpacked event later this summer.
