Some time ago, renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 appeared online. It showed the main design elements of the former and neglected to talk much about the latter. Now the tech publication GizNext has come across a wealth of Galaxy Z Flip 3 renders. They are demonstrating the design and color variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and also speculating what the specs of the smartphone could be. It also shows us how the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will differ from its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 2. The changes are not too noticeable, but interesting nonetheless. Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 3 sometime in August.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 design, specifications
It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 will keep the 6.7-inch FHD+ foldable AMOLED display of its predecessor. The outer screen is also larger, measuring 1.9 inches this time instead of the original’s 1.1 inches. The renders show that the dual-camera setup for the outdoor cameras is here to stay, but there’s a change in orientation from horizontal to vertical; however, we don’t yet know the type and resolution of both sensors. A larger battery is also expected on the smartphone.
Everything else appears to be largely identical, including the placement of the power button, volume rocker, and fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
